Meet the Shareholders

Alan Allred, CPA

Alan is the founding shareholder of Allred Jackson, PC and the firm’s senior shareholder. Alan was born in Preston, Idaho and grew up in Logan, Utah.  He received all of his schooling in the Logan, Utah school system and then graduated from Utah State University in 1976, with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting.  Later that year, Alan joined H. Sherwood & Company, a CPA firm in American Fork, Utah and worked in tax and governmental audit for the next five years.  In 1981, he had the chance to return to Logan, Utah where he became a principal in his own CPA practice, which eventually became the firm of Allred Jackson.  Alan has a variety of experience, including significant governmental and non-profit audit experience, compilations and reviews of many retail businesses, preparation of many individual and business tax returns, serving as team captain on peer reviews of other CPA firms, consultation in a variety of tax and accounting areas, eight years on the Logan City Council, and a variety of volunteer service for governmental, non-profit, and charitable organizations.  He has received recognition from professional organizations for his service and awards from the Cache Chamber of Commerce for his accomplishments throughout his years of practice.

Alan has been married to his wife, Lora, for thirty-seven years and they have a son and two daughters, with two grandchildren.  Alan has been involved in and will always be an intense sports participant and fan, with a passion for weightlifting and working out.  In the last several years he has also developed a taste for travel, driving as often as he can, to New York and California (under the pretense that it relaxes him). Diana Cannell, CPA

Diana is Allred Jackson’s shareholder in charge of the firm’s audit and assurance services. Diana oversees the work for a variety of organizational structures including for profit, nonprofit, governmental, and employee benefit plans. Her audit team performs audits, reviews, compilations and agreed upon procedures depending on individual client needs. Diana received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1991 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1992 from Utah State University, graduating with honors. She worked for Arthur Andersen, LLP in Houston, Texas prior to joining Allred Jackson in May of 1996. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (past chapter president) and is licensed to practice in the States of Utah and Nevada. 

Diana enjoys the outdoors, including activities such as camping, fishing, water-skiing, hiking, basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball.  She shares a passion for lacrosse with each of her four sons. Traveling the globe brings her a lot of joy, especially if she can travel and spend time with her husband and boys. Diana Cannell can be reached at

Scott Jackson, MPA, CPA/PFS/ABV, CFP®

Scott is the managing shareholder of the firm. He has expertise in tax, financial planning, valuation and advisory services. Scott graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Economics. He obtained his accounting graduate degree (MPA) from the University of Texas at Austin with an emphasis in Taxation. While attending school at Utah State, he worked for his father’s accounting practice and learned the ropes from the ground up. After obtaining his graduate degree, Scott work with Deloitte in both the Houston, TX and Salt Lake City, UT offices. In 2001, he left Deloitte to rejoin his father’s practice and was instrumental in merging his father’s practice with the current firm.

Scott’s passion for client service and his desire to see each of his clients reach their goals and dreams is what he enjoys most about his career in public accounting. When he is not working with clients or managing the firm, Scott enjoys coaching his children in all sports. He also enjoys reading and spending time around the home with his wife and kids. Kelly Wilson, CPA

Kelly is the office managing shareholder for the firm’s American Fork office. His expertise is with corporate, partnership and individual income tax compliance and planning. Kelly also performs operational consulting work for small and medium size business. Kelly received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1996 from Utah State University and a Master of Accounting degree in 2000 from Weber State University. He worked for Associated Food Stores and Deloitte in Salt Lake City, Utah prior to joining Allred Jackson in Sept of 2004.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed to practice in Utah. 

Kelly enjoys the outdoors, including activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, basketball, soccer, football and baseball.  He spends most of his free time coaching his 4 kids in various sports. Kelly can be reached at
